Trying out new exotic food is one of the highlights of travelling. However, don't get carried away, and these are some things you should avoid eating while travelling. Firstly, don't eat food that you are allergic to. Always ask the cook what ingredients are in your dish beforehand if you have an allergy. Many tourists don’t know the exact ingredients of the food they eat. That is the reason why they are sometimes seriously allergic.
Secondly, avoid eating raw food if you can. Food which is thoroughly cooked has significant lower chance of causing food poisoning. If you are more careful, remember to eat food in a restaurant instead of from street vendors. Finally, steamed sea food, delicious as itis, can make you have stomachache as it contains a lot of bacteria. While cooking can kill off most of them, it's better to be safe than sorry.
